                The second Circle conference of SNATTA Tamil Nadu Circle was held in a grand manner at Shanmuga Nagar, Co-operative Thirumanamandapam, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu on 20/10/2012.

BSNL STARTS UPGRADING ITS FIXED NETWORK SERVICES TO NEXT GENERATION NETWORK SERVICES

Centre for Development of Telematics in close cooperation with BSNL, has upgraded the First Rural Exchange Center at Kittur from C-DOT RAX to MAX-NG for NGN (Next Generation Network Services).

C-DOT (Centre for Development of Telematics) has already upgraded 3 Exchanges in the Urban Network, namely – Vikas Nagar in Dehradun, Uttarakhand; Katpadi in Vellore, Tamil Nadu and Nuh in Haryana they are currently running on Trial phase.

The upgradation of MAX-NG would be implemented through BSNL network across the country within 2-3 years upgrading around 2.5 crore Exchanges, both Urban and Rural.

The upgradation program will bring VoIP and other broadband services to the aging fixed line infrastructure, comprising of its MAX / RAX switches. C-DOT has also developed NGN, GPON which will build broadband pipes to homes, SOHO’s and multi-dwelling units.

Exchanges running on RAX/MAX technology enable users to access voice-based services. Up gradation to MAX-NG technology will give fixed line users access to next generation services like VoIP and other broadband services.

This upgradation will also provide Broadband services to 2.5 lakh Panchayats through optical fibre aiming at transforming the economy.

Designation change committee meeting -UPDATES

The meeting of the change of designation committee was held on 09-08-12. The staff side demanded early agreement on the demands put by the staff side. The staff side once again reiterated the demands with full data and justification. It seems that the official side is against granting the designation with Officer, Engineer etc. Staff side expressed its strong protest against the totally unjustified stand of the official side.
The next meeting will be held on 24th August

 It is reported the Designation committee meeting scheduled to be held on 30-07-2012, post poned to 09-08-2012.

30% FITMENT CASE UPDATES

The Court Case for 30% fitment to DRTTAs is postponed to 31st August, 2012.

GRAND FORMATION OF SNATTA CUDDALORE SSA

              SNATTA Cuddalore SSA started in a grand manner on  15-07-2012 in a function held at Telephone Recreation Club Main Telephone Exchange , Cuddalore.

              A large number of TTA friends from various places of the SSA participated in the meeting with great zeal.

• Mr. D.Thandapani TTA/VPR has presided the function
• Office bearers were elected unanimously with thunder of applause
• Mr. M.Krishnakumar V.P gave presidential address. 
• Mr. Habeeb Mohiaddin Basha (JAO promoted DRTTA) has been invited as a special guest and he delivered a explosive speech.
• Mr. D.Sivasankar DS has explained various issues.
• All the members have participated in the discussion session and explained their views.
